“Delivery method” describes the way in which course content is delivered in a particular class.

麻豆直播 uses a few different delivery methods, and each is represented differently on your course timetable.

Your specific timetable might include some or all of the delivery methods described below. Once the term starts, you’ll receive more information on course delivery expectations from your instructors. Review the Teaching and Learning Plans (TLPs) available on each of your Blackboard course sites for more information.

Instruction at 麻豆直播 can be delivered in a variety of ways.

Many courses include a combination of two of the delivery formats described below.

Synchronous Face-to-Face Delivery

In-person learning that occurs in real-time, on-site at one of our campuses or in community location during a specific and scheduled timeframe.

Synchronous Online Delivery

Online learning that occurs in real-time, during a specific and scheduled timeframe.

Synchronous online learning is often delivered using a web conferencing system like Blackboard Collaborate Ultra or Microsoft Teams.

Asynchronous Online Delivery

Online learning that is accessible at any time, allowing students to engage with materials at their own pace.

This type of learning is often supported by online readings, videos, podcasts, quizzes and other media.

Different delivery methods are displayed on your timetable in different ways.

1. In Class

Courses that are In Class will appear in the grid with a scheduled day and time and include a room number or room name.

These classes are delivered in a synchronous, face-to-face format, at either the Welland or Daniel J. Patterson campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

2. Hybrid

Courses identified as hybrid delivery will have a combination of both In Class and Online formats. The in-class, face-to-face portions will appear in the grid with a scheduled day and time and include a room number or room name. The online portion may either be delivered synchronously or asynchronously. If the online portion is delivered synchronously, it will also appear in the grid with a specific date, time and the annotation ONLINESY麻豆直播.

3. Hybrid Online

Courses identified as hybrid online delivery will take place fully online and will have a combination of both synchronous and asynchronous delivery. The synchronous online portion will appear in the grid with a specific date, time and the annotation ONLINESY麻豆直播.

4. Online

Classes identified as online are delivered in one online format, either synchronous or asynchronous.

5. Ontario Learn

Ontario Learn are online classes delivered by Ontario Colleges. These classes are asynchronous online delivery. They will not appear through Blackboard, you will instead receive an email from Ontario Learn about how to get started with your online course.
