Student Code of Conduct

We are committed to maintaining a high standard of civility in the interactions between members of our community.

All students are responsible to follow the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Student Code of Conduct.

The Student Rights and Responsibilities Office (SRRO) handles reports of non-academic violations. They use an educational approach to help students understand their rights and responsibilities, contributing to a positive and respectful campus environment.

Students are expected to act responsibly and uphold standards of good citizenship, including civility, responsibility, and respect.

Community Standards

We believe that everyone deserves to live and work in a comfortable environment.

Every student is a member of our community and has certain rights. At the same time, the community expects students to behave responsibly. Our Code of Behaviour reminds students of their rights and responsibilities at Â鶹ֱ²¥.

Using alcohol or drugs illegally or abusively puts everyone at risk. We are committed to keeping our campus free of illegal or abusive drug and alcohol use, and we strongly oppose personal violence, harassment, and discrimination.

Accessibility

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) is legislation that focuses on the core principles of independence, dignity, integration, and equality of opportunity for all individuals.

Under this Act, the government of Ontario has developed mandatory accessibility standards that will identify, remove, and prevent barriers for people with disabilities in key areas of daily living, and applies to both public and private sector organizations across Ontario.

All Â鶹ֱ²¥ staff, including student employees, are required to complete training in AODA upon hire. Staff and faculty foster a community of dignity and understanding for all students and visitors.

Â鶹ֱ²¥ supports staff and students through multiple initiatives and departments.
